It’s been a wonderful, inspiring, and joyful few days. Our community has proven once again that we take care of one another when times get rough.
A few highlights:
The generous $10,000 match from Carolyn and Trevor Edwards was maxed out in a record 32 minutes!
Our largest matching gifts totaling $200,000 came from alumni, inspiring all of us!
A special shout-out to our youngest donors who were inspired to help their friends and their school.
We even saw families make multiple gifts, going above and beyond.
By the numbers:
In 48 hours, our community raised more than $327,152, exceeding all expectations and still counting.
We had 282 supporters from 15 states and 3 countries (USA, Canada, and Italy)!
Our supporters were made up of 59% parents, 22% alumni & students, 21% faculty & staff, and 9% grandparents & friends. (These add up to more than 100% as some supporters have multiple affiliations.)
We owe some serious thank you’s:
Parents, thank you for helping your friends and your children’s friends get through this time together. Your support speaks volumes.
Alumni, you’ve filled our cups and we’re so grateful for the ways in which you’ve helped our students.
CG Faculty and Staff, thank you for giving and for showing up every day, in all the ways, to make our students feel seen, heard, and known.
To our grandparents, who didn’t really have a way to share your affiliation, thank you (and we’ll work out that hiccup for next time).

The reach of COVID-19 continues to extend further, bringing with it painful and sometimes devastating consequences to many families, including those within our community.
In the midst of so much hardship, the Board saw an opportunity to make a difference within our community. We’re reaching out because a number of Catlin Gabel families have asked how they can contribute. With this in mind, the Board will be matching gifts up to a total of $12,250 to support students’ tuition.
We are stronger together, and we have full confidence that we will make it through these difficult times, especially as we continue to support each other in many different ways. Thank you for being part of this incredibly caring and resilient community.

The support coming in is overwhelming. Our community maxed the Edwards Family’s generous match in 32 minutes! And this outpouring of support has inspired another impressive gift to come in. Thanks to an anonymous alumni donor, all gifts up to $25,000 will be DOUBLE MATCHED, unlocking an additional $50,000! Please, support if you can, and know that we are grateful beyond words. Thank you, Catlin Gabel community, for the inspiring messages and support you have shown. You are amazing!
