Onward & Upward: The Campaign for a New Fieldhouse and Enhanced Community Spaces at Doane Academy is designed to motivate our entire community to create new and innovative programs for our students. The acquisition of the Boudinot property expands Doane’s campus by 15%, presenting us with a distinctive opportunity to meet urgent programmatic needs that will enrich the experience of every student. The Campaign seeks to obtain funding for new construction and the repurposing of facilities, concentrating on the following areas:

• New Fieldhouse
• Community Meeting Space
• Performance Space for our Musical Groups
• Band Program Rehearsal Space (completed in 2024)

Smith Family Matching Grant

Toward the project’s fundraising goal of $7 million, the school is most fortunate to have received a 2:1 matching pledge from longtime Doane benefactors Manning and Virginia Smith. In enthusiastic support of this campus vision and effective July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2025, the Smiths are giving two dollars for every one dollar Doane raises, and they will do so for up to $1 million in gifts secured by Doane. It’s imperative for the Doane school community, both near and far, to come together and meet this generous challenge and move $3,000,000 closer to our goal!
