If you’ve come to this page hoping to make a tangible impact on your grandchild’s education, we would be honored to help you do that. Grandparents hold a cherished place in our community, embodying the spirit of legacy and faithfulness. We have tangible ways grandparents can volunteer to join things like our Hospitality Team, Handy-Man Facility Crew, and be an active part of campus life. Each year, we celebrate Grandparents Day in February, welcoming grandparents to campus to share in the joy of their grandchildren’s education.

For those grandparents who wish to receive campus updates, you will need to ask your family to include your contact information in the family demographic - grandparent section of their Parent Portal.

Meaningful Ways to Be Involved

We would be deeply grateful for your prayers over Franklin Classical School. Grandparents play a unique spiritual role in the life of our community, and your faithful intercession strengthens our students and those who serve them.

Consider giving financially as a Legacy Partner — through a one‑time gift to the FCS Fund—which supports everything from athletics to scholarships and campus improvements. Franklin Classical School, an established 501(c)(3) charitable organization, thrives when grandparents join the mission of cultivating the next generation of Christian leaders, and your generosity directly strengthens that work.

As we look ahead, the second floor of our new campus is well underway, though several key spaces—including the teacher lounge and other instructional areas—still need to be completed. At the same time, we are beginning early architectural plans and renderings for the third‑floor renovations. Significant opportunities lie before us, and we would love to walk the campus with you so you can see where we are in the process. Come dream with us about what’s possible—libraries, chapels, classrooms, and dedicated spaces for music and the fine arts. It is truly a special season for grandparents to leave a lasting mark on our campus, and it’s not uncommon for our Legacy Partners to be involved in the creative process.

Legacy Campus Tours

We’ve created brand‑new schematic architectural plans that reveal the full vision for finishing Windcross. Even if you’ve visited campus before, there is truly new work to see. These updated plans capture the complete dream for the space—its purpose, its flow, and the way it will elevate the student experience. We are excited to invite grandparents to join us for a Legacy Tour at Franklin Classical School—a special small‑group visit designed for those who want to learn more about our campus vision and explore how their legacy can help shape the future of Windcross. While you will have the chance to briefly peek in on your grandchild’s class with parent-teacher permission, the heart of this tour is discovering what comes next in conversation with our Director of Development, Amanda Priefer: the expansion of Miller Hall gathering space, the build‑out of our third‑floor classrooms, and the creation of our beautiful new library.

If you would like to participate, please indicate in the comments section the days and times that work best for you. For grandparents who live out of town, we’d be happy to walk you through the plans by phone. This tour is specifically for those who want to understand the next phase of campus development because they desire to leave a lasting legacy for future generations.

Volunteer On-Campus

Whether it’s baking for teachers, offering carpentry or handyman help, or sharing life‑skills expertise, there are always meaningful ways to serve on campus. If you’re open to helping where the greatest needs are, we can easily plug you in—there are always fundraisers, auctions, and events where your support and organizational gifts make a real difference.
