If you’ve come to this page hoping to make a tangible impact on your grandchild’s education, we would be honored to help you do that. Grandparents hold a cherished place in our community, embodying the spirit of legacy and faithfulness. We have tangible ways grandparents can volunteer to join things like our Hospitality Team, Handy-Man Facility Crew, and be an active part of campus life. Each year, we celebrate Grandparents Day, welcoming grandparents to campus to share in the joy of their grandchildren’s education.

For those grandparents who wish to receive campus updates, you will need to ask your family to include your contact information in the family demographic - grandparent section of their Parent Portal.

Meaningful Ways to Be Involved

We would be deeply grateful for your prayers over Franklin Classical School. Grandparents play a unique spiritual role in the life of our community, and your faithful intercession strengthens our students and those who serve them.

Consider giving financially as a Legacy Partner — through a one‑time gift to the FCS Fund—which supports everything from athletics to scholarships and campus improvements. Franklin Classical School, an established 501(c)(3) charitable organization, thrives when grandparents join the mission of cultivating the next generation of Christian leaders, and your generosity directly strengthens that work.

Ways to Make a Lasting Gift

• A gift through your will or trust

• Naming Franklin Classical School as a beneficiary of a retirement account, life insurance policy, or other asset

• Making a gift of appreciated securities, including stocks or mutual funds, to Franklin Classical School’s Endowment Fund

• Recommending a grant through a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) to support Franklin Classical School

• Directing all or a portion of your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) from an IRA to Franklin Classical School

As we look ahead, we are actively raising support for the build-out of our third floor, which will include new classrooms and a beautiful library designed to serve students at every stage of their educational journey. The library will feature a dedicated Grammar School wing, creating a space where even our youngest Knights can discover the wonder of the written word.

Grandparents played an important role in bringing both our playground and outdoor classroom to life, demonstrating that they are far more than observers of our mission. They are valued partners whose ideas, passions, and generosity help shape the future of our campus.

Legacy Campus Tours

This is a campus tour with purpose. We’ve created brand‑new schematic architectural plans that reveal the full vision for finishing Windcross. Even if you’ve visited campus before, there is truly new work to see. We are excited to invite grandparents to join us for a Legacy Tour at Franklin Classical School—a special small‑group visit designed for those who want to learn more about our campus vision and explore how their legacy can help shape the future of Windcross. While you will have the chance to briefly peek in on your grandchild’s class with parent-teacher permission, the heart of this tour is discovering what comes next in conversation with our Director of Development, Amanda Priefer.

Volunteer On-Campus

Whether it’s baking for teachers, offering carpentry or handyman help, or sharing life‑skills expertise, there are always meaningful ways to serve on campus. If you’re open to helping where the greatest needs are, we can easily plug you in—there are always fundraisers, auctions, and events where your support and organizational gifts make a real difference.
