Where Every Family Has a Place

About

Parent and grandparent involvement is one of the greatest strengths of our FCS community, a hallmark of the partnership that makes our school flourish. We’re asking each family to lean into volunteering as they are able, offering time and energy across a variety of campus needs. Strong parent collaboration is essential to who we are, and it’s what keeps our school thriving. Click “Volunteer to Serve” to explore opportunities throughout the year. Dates and times may shift, but simply choose the areas you’re most interested in so we can notify you when details are available. Local FCS alumni, grandparents and friends are invited to serve in areas of interest as well.

*If you are a grandparent volunteering, please indicate so in the comment section of the volunteer role*

Registration options

Dad’s Fellowship

This team of FCS dads helps organize once‑per‑quarter gatherings that strengthen connection, encouragement, and community among FCS men. Hosting rotates—some events take place in homes, others could take place on campus—and gatherings range from simple breakfasts to business‑owner meetups to evenings of fellowship and prayer. Whether you enjoy planning gatherings or you’re simply willing to open your home to host a breakfast or BBQ, this is a meaningful place for you to serve.

Volunteer: Find the Best Fit

We’re excited to fill the volunteer roles already listed on this page, but we also know many of you—new and returning parents alike—bring unique skills, passions, and professional experience that could bless our school in ways we haven’t even listed yet. After reviewing the current opportunities, if you still don’t see an area that interests you, simply tell us what you’d love to offer. Share the skill set or experience you have in mind, and we’ll find the right place to plug you in. Thank you for being willing to lend your gifts to this mission; we truly need you. Explore the roles, then let us know how you’d like to serve through your volunteer interests or your skill set in the comment section.

Fundraising and Networking Team

For those who love connecting people and expanding our school’s reach, we’re looking for volunteers who enjoy networking, building relationships in the community with new partners, and helping open new doors for FCS. This may include reaching out to local businesses, but it also involves rallying families, engaging community partners, and coming alongside our Director of Development throughout the year for events that support our strategic goals for building projects and scholarship needs. We’re seeking strategic thinkers and networkers who thrive on creating meaningful connections and strengthening the future of FCS.

Front Desk Greeter

Priority Need: Volunteers for Monday, 8am-11am. For FCS parents and FCS grandparents with flexible weekday schedules, we are seeking volunteers Monday–Friday during campus hours to help greet students and parents who visit our campus. This role serves as a warm, welcoming presence at our front desk—offering a friendly smile, checking in guests, and buzzing in visitors as needed. Volunteers typically serve one day a week for a 4 hour shift or the entire school day, providing an important layer of hospitality and support to our school community. List in the comments section your typical days/times of availability.

Facilities and Handy-Man Support

From time to time, we have volunteer needs that call for handy‑man or handy‑woman skills—small projects like fixing things, painting, or building that save the school budget but make a big impact. Sometimes it’s simply being willing to help wipe down tables, tidy shared spaces, or keep the campus fresh with a quick round of light cleaning or vacuuming. We also welcome help with landscaping, planting flowers, and keeping our outdoor spaces beautiful. Even grandparents are warmly invited to join in. If you have practical skills you’re willing to share, please list your skill set in the comments section so we know how to match you with the right projects.

Athletic Booster Club

Lead: Emory Martin

This team supports the ongoing needs of the Athletics Booster Club as we work to strengthen opportunities for all student‑athletes. If you have a background in a particular sport (retired or active coaching experience) or simply a heart to see us grow our recreational sports opportunities, this team needs you. Volunteers help with fundraising efforts and assist in organizing key events throughout the year. Golf lovers will especially enjoy this role, as the Booster Club hosts the May Golf Outing, but there are plenty of sports‑focused projects and activities for anyone passionate about athletics. If you enjoy being part of a team that champions our athletes and helps move important initiatives forward, this is a great place to serve.

Theater Dept. Administrative Support

Support Our Theater Director Behind the Scenes

Our Theater Director, Stefani Martin, is looking for one or two dependable volunteers who enjoy simple administrative tasks and want to help keep our growing theater program running smoothly, especially for grammar school. These volunteer roles focus on behind‑the‑scenes support such as organizing merchandise, tracking seat reservations, and assisting with Boost My School, our internal system for managing payments and student registrations for after‑school theater - don’t worry, its easy stuff.

This is a flexible, low‑pressure opportunity that can be done almost entirely from home with a personal computer. The busiest times are during our after‑school theater seasons, making it a perfect fit for parents whose children already love theater and who want to support our theater program in a meaningful way. If you’re interested in strengthening our theater program and offering a steady helping hand, we would be grateful!
