Born once and raised twice — first by his family in Woodbridge and a second time by the community in Newark — Fr. Edwin Leahy, O.S.B. ‘63 has led an extraordinary life and impacted the lives of countless others. From student to Benedictine Monk to Headmaster in the blink of an eye, most of Fr. Ed’s 80 years have been devoted to St. Benedict’s Prep.
This year, it’s by Divine design that Giving Tuesday (December 2) aligns with his 80th birthday — and there’s no better way to celebrate this Outstanding Octogenarian than to make your gift in honor of the revered (and sometimes feared!), charismatic Fr. Ed.
