2016 Annual Fund

The Magnet foundation uses the Annual Fund to to fund educational grants, for example:

(1) Classroom supplies and equipment. Grants fulfilled in the past year under this category:

• Vernier LabQuest devices and software for Chem R&E - $4,169.31
• Class books “Beginning Algorithms” - $403.11
• Upgrade for FormOne 3D printer - $798.59

(2) Underwriting cost of student participation in academic competitions. Grants fulfilled in the past year under this category:

• ARML registration fee - $2,000.00
• ACSL 2015 (hotel, van, fuel, chaperones, airfare) - $2,219.78
• MD Science Olympiad registration fee - $455.00

(3) Teacher development. Grants fulfilled in the past year under this category:

• NCSSS Professional Conference in NYC, travel and registration fees - $870.00
