About
The Way Out: A Night of Skiing, Adventure & Community
Matchstick Productions returns with its 34th annual ski film, The Way Out, a raw and inspiring tribute to the timeless culture and lifestyle of skiing.
From heavy Alaskan spine lines and deep Japanese powder to iconic Swiss villages, The Way Out explores skiing as far more than a sport—it’s a path toward adventure, connection, and total freedom. Featuring legendary veterans alongside rising breakout talent, the film asks: Does the soul of skiing still exist?
Everyone in the greater Spokane area community is welcome! Whether you’re a lifelong skier, a winter sports enthusiast, or simply looking for a fun night out, join us for an exciting evening celebrating the spirit of skiing.
The film is appropriate for middle school students through adults, making it a great outing for friends and families. Revenue raised at this event will be used to enhance the Saint George’s Outdoor Program student experience.
