Sarah M. Devens ’89 Memorial Fund
About
Established in 1995 in memory of Sarah M. Devens ’89 for character development, the fund supports life skills for students and adults in the Shore Country Day School community. It was given with the intent to supplement Shore’s excellent academic curriculum and training for a lifetime of healthy habits. Sarah Devens spent ten years growing up and flourishing as a student at Shore, and attended St. Paul’s School upon graduation. A talented and dedicated athlete in varsity field hockey, ice hockey, and lacrosse, she was captain of all three Division I teams at Dartmouth College until she passed away in the summer of 1995. Sarah’s friends and family continue to come together to raise awareness of mental health issues at a young age, and to generate funds to support educating the whole child.
