The recent round was led by High Alpha and brings total company funding to 10 million.
Boost My School is the only fundraising platform built for K-12 advancement teams, allowing schools to raise more by consolidating tools and simplifying the fundraising process.
Over the past school year, the platform has helped hundreds of schools raise more than $100 million across 100,000 donors.
New York, NY – August 26, 2025 — Boost My School, the only fundraising platform built for K-12 schools, announced today that the company has raised $10 million in funding to transform how advancement teams engage their communities and grow revenue from donations and fundraising events. The recent round was led by High Alpha following previous participation from Far Out VC, ground game, Allos Ventures and strategic angel investors such as Scot Chisholm, founder of Classy, which was acquired by GoFundMe in 2022.
After needing to write a check to donate to his former high school math team, Boost CEO and Founder Holman Gao set out to create an easier way for schools to engage their communities. Today, the Boost platform provides a tailored solution that streamlines processes and enables schools to raise funds that directly support their operating budgets, scholarships, financial aid and staff benefits. By consolidating fundraising workflows — everything from annual giving and reunions to auctions, golf outings and giving days — Boost empowers advancement teams to operate at scale while fostering stronger connections with their communities.
“I started Boost to help my high school fundraise in a modern way — to give them the resources and purpose-built solution K-12 advancement teams need to fundraise like larger institutions,” said Boost CEO and Founder Holman Gao. “Boost levels the playing field, providing schools with an innovative, intuitive platform and suite of tools they need to raise funds efficiently and focus on what matters most: supporting their students’ futures.”
Boost’s platform, which was accepted into Blackbaud’s Social Good Startup Program and accelerator, has already delivered impressive results for its customers:
“With the strategic leadership of our annual giving team, we’ve been able to transform our fundraising approach,” said Meredith Robbins, chief advancement officer at Polytechnic School. “Boost has been a valuable partner in that work. The platform is uniquely designed for the needs of K-12 schools and has helped us create a seamless experience for donors. We’re now working more efficiently, engaging more donors and making better use of our time and tools.”
This recent funding will enable Boost to deepen its focus on K-12 advancement teams, expand its team and enhance its comprehensive platform designed to simplify and scale school fundraising efforts.
“Boost is revolutionizing fundraising for K-12 advancement teams,” said High Alpha Partner and Co-Founder Mike Fitzgerald. “Their ability to streamline fundraising for this underserved market is critical for the long-term success of these institutions. We’re thrilled to invest in Holman and the team as they scale and continue to deliver exceptional value to schools nationwide.”
Holman is the founder and CEO of Boost My School. He actively helps his former high school with their fundraising and alumni outreach, which is how the idea for Boost My School came about. He is a strong believer in the power of education to change the world and volunteers with programs that support underrepresented students in math and science.
