About

Every year, gifts to the Lakeside Fund directly support the people and programs that make a Lakeside education possible. Your gift of any amount can support an area that is most meaningful to you: greatest need, faculty excellence, educational excellence, financial aid, arts, and athletics. We count on donations to the Lakeside Fund and strive to achieve a high percentage of participation from all members of the school community. Thank you for your support!

Lakeside’s fiscal year runs from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024, and our EIN is 91-0564971.

Help us unlock the matching gift while supporting education beyond classroom walls!

Middle School GSL trips relaunched this year after being paused due to COVID. One group of 8th graders spent a week at Cloudview Farms in Ephrata, WA, where they learned about farming and working with preschool-aged children. The week provided many opportunities for learning and personal growth. Gifts to the Lakeside Fund help make these transformative experiences possible!

Cloudview Farms, a Community Supported Agriculture operation, focuses on sustainable farming and community service. While harvesting crops, students discovered there is much more to farming than meets the eye.

“I learned that farming is as much tech as it is labor. I’m so glad that I was able to rid myself of my naive thoughts, and instead, educate myself on the art that is farming.” - Charlie B. ’28

In a unique leadership opportunity, some students helped with Cloudview’s “Little Sprouts” co-op program that teaches young children (preschool-2nd grade) about the sources of their food. Lakesiders led children in farm tours, outdoor clean-up, and arts and crafts activities.

“When I first arrived, I was worried that all of the kids would hate me. […] Turns out, they were absolutely adorable! […] After they left, I was surprised to find out that I was crying a little. They were not the way I thought they were going to be, and I could not have been more thankful for the experience because after I went home, I vowed to be better to my brother. It changed me quite a bit.” - Mariah M. ’28

Gifts to the Lakeside Fund provide middle school students with growth and learning opportunities outside the classroom, such as trips to Cloudview Farms. These become some of the most memorable learning experiences for our students. Please continue to help make them possible with your gift.

“The trip […] brought me some of the best memories I’ve received and some of the best lessons I’ve learned in my entire life. The friendships and bonds I made over this singular week will likely last forever, and if not forever, at least a very, very long time.” - Grayson P. ’28
