The SEC (Special Events Center) is more than just a venue—it’s a hub of energy and connection for our students. This renovation project will modernize the space and reflect our commitment to creating a vibrant, supportive community where academic, athletic, and artistic achievements are celebrated.

For students just beginning their journey at Allen Academy, the SEC symbolizes the broader community of the school they will grow into. As these students rise through the grades, the SEC plays a growing role in their development- where they’ll witness their peers achieve, compete, and celebrate, instilling a sense of school spirit and pride.

Moreover, the SEC fosters a sense of belonging for all students- it’s a shared space for school-wide gatherings, assemblies, and celebrations for the entire school community.

A gift to the SEC Renovation Project is a direct support to enhance our weight room, meeting room, locker rooms, and foyer in the SEC. These gifts will fund the construction project cost, equipment purchases, and furniture and fixtures.

No! The Special Events Center (SEC) is a hub for the entire school and Allen community. 100% of the students and families are invited into the SEC annually for various events including graduation, the LS Spring Concert, sporting events, LS Jump Rope Assembly, and so much more. While MS/US students utilize the weight room, locker room, and training space every day, this project looks to enhance more than just those spaces. In addition, LS/MS/US students participating in Fine Arts also utilize the changing areas, stage, and training space to prepare for plays, orchestra, and band. We want the SEC to welcome all families and our extended community into Allen Academy with excellence.

The SEC Renovation Project is a core objective to meet the strategies and goals outlined in the Allen Academy Strategic Plan.

Our goals to develop modern facilities for discovery and learning plus grow enrollment while enhancing the quality of the student experience are directly tied to this project. As part of the Campus Master Plan, the needed renovations to this facility will not only modernize the facility, but provide additional space for academic, artistic, and athletic growth. In addition, the renovation assists Allen Academy in enhancing the quality of the student experience for the entire student population and positions Allen Academy in a competitive MS/US athletic position for future enrollment and retention efforts. Students from 3 years to 12th grade will be impacted by the immediate and long-term goals for the facility.
