BG Party
The BG Party is held to raise money for the BG Fund. Since tuition alone does not cover the full cost of a Bishop Gorman education, your donations to the BG Fund help ensure vital funding to make excellence possible across all programs, provide tuition assistance for deserving students, and help address our school’s most pressing needs. We are grateful for ongoing BG Fund support from alumni, current parents, parents of alumni, grandparents, faculty and staff, and friends. Your donations demonstrate your belief in the mission of Bishop Thomas K. Gorman Catholic School in Tyler, Texas and your dedication to the continued success of the school. Thank you!

About
Dear friend of Bishop Gorman, We are building our BG Fund in so many ways. You can help by attending the BG Party (singing a “Karaoke Spotlight Duet”, playing “Heads or Tails”, signing up for “Sign-Up Parties”, sponsoring teacher wish list items, and donating directly to the BG Fund in honor or in memory of someone special).
Here’s another way to help: The Camino de Santiago, or in English the Way of St. James, is a network of pilgrims’ ways leading to the shrine of the apostle James in the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in northwestern Spain, where tradition holds that the remains of the apostle are buried. Many still follow its routes as a form of spiritual path or retreat for their spiritual growth. It has been declared to be one of the three great pilgrimages of Christendom, along with Jerusalem, and the Via Francigena to Rome. (Excerpts from Wikipedia’s “Camino de Santiago”)
This fall I’m walking 900 miles (10 weeks, 6 days per week, 15 miles per day) from Paris to Santiago de Compostela. I will walk and pray for Bishop Gorman Catholic School in Tyler, Texas. Since 1958, our school has been through many changes. The one constant is Jesus Christ. He is the reason for Bishop Gorman Catholic School.
Will you please “sponsor” my walk? 100% of your donation will go to the BG Fund. No donated dollars will go towards any personal trip expenses. Sponsor in honor or in memory of someone who has helped you in your walk.
Thank you! Rachel Cammack
P. S. Read on for the testimony of one alum who is currently a college sophomore. So many have benefited from their experience at Bishop Gorman!

From a Bishop Gorman Alum (Class of 2022):
How did your time at Bishop Gorman help to prepare/impact you for your current college career, activities, friends, etc.? It helped me to develop a strong mentality to maintain my work diligence and avoid harmful peer influences.
What would you like prospective students and prospective donors to know about why you think a Bishop Gorman education is valuable? Camaraderie and college expectations. (I learned what to expect from college level classes and how to complete that type of coursework to the fullest of my abilities.)
