The Breck Fund
Thank you for your support of our Breck community!
What is the impact of my gift?
Your donation to the Breck Fund supports a wide range of expenses throughout the year including attracting and retaining outstanding faculty, all athletic programs, Homecoming, and Community Partnerships.
Why are we asked every year to give to the Breck Fund?
Breck operates as a 501c(3) nonprofit organization, without financial support from public sources. Net tuition and endowment draws cover only 80% of the true cost of educating a Breck student, so gifts to the Breck Fund form a critical part of the school’s operating budget.
Why doesn't Breck increase tuition to cover the full cost of educating each student?
Like the vast majority of independent schools, Breck doesn’t charge families what it actually costs to attend. Tax-deductible donations to the Breck Fund help keep tuition costs affordable and provide crucial financial aid and scholarships.
How much of a difference does my gift really make?
Breck School has fewer supporters than a large university or charity, but its needs are similar. That’s why we ask every member of the Breck community to make a yearly gift to the Breck Fund at a level that’s appropriate for them personally.
How is a gift to the Breck Fund different from an endowment gift or a gift to the Blue and Gold Bash?
By supporting the Breck Fund, you directly impact current Breck students during this fiscal year. Contributions to the Blue and Gold Bash go towards the next fiscal year. Gifts to Breck’s endowment are crucial assets that are invested to generate future income. We ask donors to prioritize giving to the Breck Fund because of the immediate, powerful impact on our students and community.
