Founded in 1941, Cardinal Hayes is a Catholic-based educational institution serving young men in grades 9 – 12 in New York City’s South Bronx, one of the poorest communities in New York City.

Cardinal Hayes has a rich history, and for 81 years has provided academic excellence, extra-curricular activities, and a curriculum that stresses self-discipline and personal growth to its student population.

Today Cardinal Hayes remains a vibrant beacon of hope for young people and an important academic anchor by providing 73 percent of students with scholarships so they can receive the excellent education that my Father Ron Rhodes did when he attended Hayes and graduated in 1960.
