In honor of Brother Dugan
Cardinal Hayes made me what I am today. Was it not for the amazing direction provided by all faculty and administration I would have been a different man and none the better for sure. My days with Fr. Ansaldi and Brother Dugan were life changing. Brother O’Toole and Mr. Kerrigan and Fr. Principe and so many others deserve so much thanks…..

The older I get the more I value my years at Hayes and the bonds that last a lifetime. Without those four years, by the grace of God, I don't know where I would be in my life.

This school instilled in me Christian values and discipline, that I have practiced in life to this date. I owe a debt of gratitude to the school. I had been in the country less than three years, having arrived as a Cuban refugee in April 1962. My mom had difficulty making the tuition payments, was told not to worry by Fr. McMahon, my schooling will not be interrupted. I owe my academic accomplishments to my Hayes education. it set the foundation. Thank you!

My four years at Cardinal Hayes will always be a seminal moment in my life. While I learned a lot of knowledge (and German, thanks Fr. Ansaldi) I learned even more about how to act and how to live.
