About
The annual golf outing in memory of Brother Andrew is an opportunity for the Christian Brothers academy community to honor a man who was instrumental in the many lives he touched and played a significant role in the betterment of CBA. Our goal is to raise awareness and continue the work that was important to Brother Andrew by allowing deserving young men the opportunity to attend CBA who otherwise would not due to financial obstacles. Through the generous support of our participants and sponsors, the golf outing has provided a solid foundation to further advance Brother Andrew’s educational vision.
2024 Honorary Committee Members - DeFelice Family
For the DeFelice family, commitment to Christian Brothers Academy began in the 1960’s. Tom DeFelice, a founding father of CBA’s Father’s Club and longtime member until his passing in 1994, was approached by local businessmen at that time. They wanted him to participate in and support the development of CBA and he became one of the original contributors along this journey. Tom DeFelice and his wife Dolores were longtime members of CBA’s Century Club. The family’s legacy continued with their sons, starting with his oldest, Tom Jr. (’70); William (’72); Paul (’84) and moved on to a second generation of DeFelice men Thomas III (‘04); Alex (‘11); Nick (‘13), Paul Jr. (‘13 ) and Stephen (‘17 ).
The DeFelice family has donated more than half a million dollars through their family-owned Circle automotive dealerships and personally. The family’s long track record of 65+ years of support has provided CBA with resources both small and large; from baseball equipment to campus golf carts to all of CBA’s major capital projects, including significant contributions to the Sheehan Track and Field Complex and the Brother Frank Byrne Dining Hall during the Forever CBA capital campaign. The DeFelice family has also funded an Endowed Scholarship which helps a young man and his family afford the opportunity to attend CBA.
For the entire family, the Lasallian education taught by the Brothers at CBA, was “unparalleled in the level of education, values and making boys into exceptional young men.”
