I make this donation in honor of my daughter, Isabella, who since a very young age has worked to be an ally and to share her voice and experience as an ally in the Doane community. She put a lot of work into a queer culture booth this year that was canceled at the last minute. I am beyond proud of her for her commitment to living out Doane’s mission of inclusion even in the face of resistance.

I make this donation in honor of my son, Colin, who founded the queer straight alliance at Doane last year and for the current members of the QSA who were not represented this year at the cultural block party. I hope for a renewed commitment to DEI and Doane staying true to their mission statement which includes educating students on being allies to those who deserve support rather than fear.
