Franklin Road Academy Annual Fund
Final Push for FRA’s 2023-24 Annual Fund
What is the Annual Fund and why do we need it?
The Annual Fund is FRA’s annual giving program. As with all independent schools, we rely on a combination of tuition and annual giving to support our operating budget. We depend on gifts from our current parents, board of directors, alumni, parents of alumni, grandparents, faculty and staff, and friends of FRA to help make up the difference between tuition revenue and the full cost of providing the FRA student experience.
What is the timeline for the Annual Fund each year?
FRA’s fiscal year runs from July 1 through June 30. All gifts and pledges are due by June 30 in order to receive credit for a particular campaign year. Donors will be recognized in our annual Philanthropy Report that is published each winter for their previous fiscal year giving.
How are Annual Fund dollars spent?
The Annual Fund provides funds for faculty salaries, professional development, financial aid, and for programmatic needs such as athletic uniforms, musical and play props, and curricular/classroom resources. Because we understand that different areas of school-life hold significance to each giver, our Annual Fund program allows you to designate your gift. Support raised through the Annual Fund touches EVERY part of the student experience.
Why not increase tuition to fully cover operating costs?
We strive to keep our tuition competitive as well as offer the opportunity of an FRA education to talented students who otherwise may not be able to participate in our community. With a strong Annual Fund, we are able to keep tuition costs more affordable and provide financial aid and scholarships to deserving students.
How can my gift make a significant difference?
Each donor, regardless of gift amount, is vital to the success of FRA. We depend on our families to give as they are able. Annual Fund participation reflects a supportive school community and is a key metric in evaluating our school for prospective families and employees alike. FRA is fortunate to receive support from certain foundations, but these foundations expect to see strong parent participation when they make grants. Your participation makes an important difference.
