Cathedral for Ukraine!
About
Pope Francis condemned the Russia-Ukraine conflict in his weekly address at the Vatican on Sunday. “The need for humanitarian assistance in that troubled country is growing dramatically by the hour,” Francis said.
More than 2.9 million people in Ukraine are already in need of shelter, food, and other emergency relief. As a Cathedral family, we are called to have the competence to see and the courage to act.
One of our student’s parents, Yulia Tolstikov-Mast (mother of Anatoli ‘25 and Valeria ‘21), has Ukrainian roots and contacts. She and her husband will be traveling in the weeks ahead to a refugee camp in Poland. Yulia is fluent in Russian, and translation services are in high demand as many Ukrainian refugees speak Russian. Their trip is fully funded and the support requested from the Cathedral community will directly go to the refugees.
If you feel called to help these efforts via a trusted Cathedral family member, please be assured your financial investments will make an impact on those most in need.
