College Counseling Information Sessions

Choose your own adventure in the exploration of the college process. Families will have two 45 minute sessions to pick from depending on the needs of your family and your student.
Session One- 10:30-11:15
Session Two- 11:30-12:15
Each Session will include the following options of workshops to choose from:
Workshop #1**: Next Level Snow Sports**
Meet with Gould Snow Sport coaches to discuss if, how, and where to pursue next-level snow sports. They will provide information on how to navigate Collegiate pathways (competitive, club, recreation) and Gap Years. (Parker Gray, Head Alpine Coach, Michael Hirschbuhl, U16 Alpine Coach, Ben Kamilewicz, Dean of Academics & Nordic Ski Director; Mark Godomsky, Dean of Athletics)
Workshop #2**: From the Other Side of the Desk**
Meet Gould’s new College Counselor, Drew Goodwin. Drew will share valuable insights into the college admissions process from his experience as an admissions officer at Colby and St. John’s Colleges.
Workshop #3**: Rising Senior Summer**
Join Maggie Davis, Director of College Counseling, as she discusses the importance of rising seniors (and all students) taking advantage of summer opportunities. Maggie will talk about the Senior 4 point advantage, summer work on college applications, Pre-College Programs, Gould’s Husky Network, and test prep.

GPA Book Club - The Anxious Generation

All are welcome to join the GPA (Gould Parents Association) Book Club discussion on The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt. We will be joined by Katie Stack, Director of Community Life and Belonging at Gould. She will be able to share her experience of working with young people and Gould’s current community guidelines around technology.
