The Governor's Fund
For over 261 years, bright, bold students from all over the world have come to Byfield for a life-changing educational experience. Surrounded by dedicated faculty and staff, Govs students strive for excellence, discover new passions, and go further than they ever thought possible. Gifts, of any size, to The Governor’s Academy make an impact on the lives of our students, faculty, and staff every day.
Why is June 30th your deadline?
The Governor’s Academy’s fiscal year runs parallel to the school year. Therefore, the fundraising calendar begins on July 1 and ends on June 30 every year. You can make your gift anytime during the year, but making your contribution in the fall will be the most beneficial to the financial planning of the Academy.
Are there other ways to give?
Yes! You are welcome to send your donation by personal check, Venmo, donor advised fund, appreciated stock, or wire transfer. Please visit our Ways to Give webpage for more information.
Why is $1,763 a suggestion donation amount?
The 1763 Society recognizes leadership donors who give $1,763 or more within a fiscal year. Approximately 85% of the total raised for The Governor’s Fund comes from leadership donors, providing critical revenue for the school to further its mission. We are grateful for your consideration in making a leadership gift, and to our existing leadership donors who are the foundation of the Academy’s philanthropic efforts.
