The 1971 Hall of Fame Kent Football Team honors Coaches Theobald and Gowan’s first undefeated, championship team together, and the lives of Cy Theobald and Don Gowan, II ’66. The Theobald-Gowan Scholarship supports deserving male and female athletes of all skill levels.
The Scholarship will support deserving female and male student athletes of all skill levels, and will be awarded to those who demonstrate a commitment to leadership, excellence, and to making a positive impact on the Kent School community.

Michael was a warm and caring presence on campus, and his love for Kent was evident in every story he shared. I will always remember the kindness he showed me during my first days here, making me feel welcome as he guided me through the campus he cherished. His enthusiasm was infectious, and his absence will be deeply felt. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will always be a part of Kent.
