KPS Founders Day: A Day of Giving
Thank you for making Founders Day was another record-breaking success and helping us unlock $125,000 from the challenges! Thank you for joining together to celebrate Kent Place! If you’d still like to make a gift, you can do so at www.kentplace.org/giving/give-today.
What is the Kent Place Fund?
The Kent Place Fund is Kent Place School’s annual fund which is essential to the school’s financial health. The school’s operating budget depends on these additional unrestricted dollars to maintain our academic strength, teaching excellence, student financial support, new initiatives, professional development for faculty and staff, and the maintenance of our buildings and grounds. A Kent Place Fund gift of any size has a direct and immediate impact on the life of every member of the KPS community.
Why should I participate in Founders Day?
Gifts to the Kent Place Fund directly support the mission of the school, our students, faculty, and staff each and every day, and have an immediate impact on the operating budget. Founders Day enables each and every gift to have an extra special impact as gifts of ANY SIZE will help the school unlock a challenge gift of $100,000 to meet our immediate needs! All gifts made to the KPF are 100% tax deductible.

What is the history of Founders Day?
In 1894, six Summit families recognized that girls lacked educational opportunities equal to those of boys. With this discrepancy in mind, they decided to provide an outstanding education for their daughters and the daughters of other families — and that was when Kent Place School was founded. Over the decades, Kent Place has stood out among schools for girls and young women, and on Founders Day, we honor the vision of those six families and recognize the remarkable Kent Place community. The day of giving was branded “Founders Day” during Kent Place School’s 125th anniversary year in 2019.
Does your employer match donations to schools?
