Q:

What is Giving Day?

A:

The purpose of our first-ever One Kingsley Giving Day is to honor Kingsley teachers, who have worked especially hard during the pandemic, and to bring our community together to support the Annual Fund.

Q:

Why should I participate in One Kingsley Giving Day?

A:

Your gift is always appreciated, but time-limited Giving Day Challenge Matches—and the visibility of your support—will multiply your impact. Your contribution during our first-ever Giving Day shows your Kingsley spirit makes you a part of Kingsley history. Plus: you’ll have the chance to win Kingsley socks and other swag!

Q:

Can I create my own Giving Day Challenge?

A:

Absolutely and THIS video walks you through the process.

Q:

I already made an Annual Fund gift—can I make a second gift today?

A:

Yes! We hope to count you among 150 donors celebrating Kingsley teachers, who give 150% every day. In response to the urgency of Covid mitigation, the entire community has rallied behind our aspirational $1M Annual Fund goal. On Giving Day we come together in our shared purpose to nurture the limitless potential of every Kingsley student.

Q:

What is the Annual Fund?

A:

Kingsley’s Annual Fund helps close the $3,600-per-student gap between tuition and the cost of providing a Kingsley education. It fuels faculty development, curricular enhancements, maintenance of our three campuses, and much more. This year’s Annual Fund supports our Covid mitigation strategies, prioritizing student wellbeing while maintaining community health. Annual Fund participation is a core value in our community.

Q:

How much should I give?

A:

Every gift counts for Kingsley students and teachers and every gift is eligible for the One Kingsley Giving Day Challenge Match. This year, the per-student tuition gap is over $3,600, given all of the resources needed to accommodate Covid-19-related infrastructure changes. The collective support of parents, grandparents, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends is essential to fulfillment of our mission.

Q:

Is my gift tax-deductible?

A:

Yes! Gifts to Kingsley’s Annual Fund are fully tax-deductible and you will receive a tax receipt acknowledging your contribution.

Q:

Are there ways to give other than via credit card?

A:

Yes! You can give via check, bank wire, appreciated securities, or donor advised funds. DTC instructions are HERE. To make sure your gift is reflected in Giving Day totals, please flag it to [email protected].

Q:

Why “One Kingsley?”

A:

This year, we are teaching and learning on four campuses (Fairfield, Exeter, 580 Harrison and Online) yet we remain One Kingsley, united by our shared commitment to nurture resilient explorers, confident learners, and empathetic citizens.

Q:

Why does Kingsley ask for support above tuition?

A:

Like other independent schools, Kingsley’s tuition does not meet the actual cost of educating our students. Unlike many peer institutions, Kingsley has no endowment from which to draw. Our generous community helps bridge the gap between tuition income and budgetary needs. Kingsley is a mission-based, not-for-profit school. All revenue is directed towards nurturing the limitless potential of each student.
