What is Lakeside Fund Day?
Lakeside Fund Day is a 24-hour giving event to support Lakeside students! The virtual event calls on alumni, parents/guardians, employees, grandparents, and friends from all over the world to join together to give back and celebrate what they care about at Lakeside.
When is Lakeside Fund Day?
Lakeside Fund Day starts at noon PST on April 2, 2024 and runs until noon PST on April 3, 2024.
What if I can only make a small gift?
Every gift, of every size, makes a difference for the Lakeside community. Lakeside Fund Day is all about Lions coming together to build a strong philanthropic community.
Why does Lakeside need my gift?
Philanthropy is an essential source of funding for Lakeside. Your support provides operational dollars that can be spent right away on the most pressing needs in the area(s) you choose to support. Lakeside relies on annual donations because tuition and endowment funds do not cover the entire cost of a Lakeside education. Philanthropy accounts for 30% of Lakeside’s operating budget annually.
Can I make a recurring gift?
Yes! Check the box at the bottom of the giving form that states “I want to make this a recurring donation” and select your preferred frequency - monthly, quarterly, semiannual, annual.
Can I use my employer’s matching gifts funds?
Yes! We strongly encourage you to take advantage of your employer’s generosity to enhance the impact of your support at Lakeside.
Can I donate using gifts of stock or from my IRA?
Yes! If you wish to donate gifts of stock or from your IRA, please visit this link for instructions.
How will the donation be reported on my credit card statement?
Gifts made on the Lakeside Fund Day should appear on the donor’s credit card similar to LAKESIDE SCHOOL DONATION HTTPSWWW.LAKESIDE CA. For donors who give via Venmo it will appear as BoostMySchool.
How do the match and challenges work?
Matching gifts and challenges add an exciting element to Lakeside Fund Day. Generous donors have made special gifts to create competition, incentive, and inspiration for new gifts to be made during the 24-hour virtual giving event. Donors have allocated specific amounts that “unlock” when certain thresholds are met.

If you wish to opt out, simply contact Samantha Dale at [email protected]. She will ensure that your name is removed from the list of potential winners.
Where can I find Lakeside Fund Day updates?
On this website! As we get closer to April 2, you will be able to see the various challenges and learn how to get involved. On April 2, you can track live progress, see who has donated, and more. Most importantly, you will be able to see the collective impact of the Lakeside community coming together to give at the same time!
Can I still make a gift after Lakeside Fund Day?
Yes! Even though Lakeside Fund Day ends at noon on April 3, it’s never too late to give. It’s your impact and participation that matter most. The Lakeside Fund fiscal year ends on June 30, 2024.
