I spent thirteen years at Mayfield, of which 9 years were at the Junior School and 4 at the High School. Lots of memories, fun and friendships were made that I cherish.

I've enjoyed life-long friendships I started at Mayfield. Mayfield taught me to be of service and the joy of collaborating with others toward a common goal.

I love Mayfield because, firstly, in my short tenure there (1/2 junior and full senior years), I made two of my greatest, closest lifelong friends: Our Art teacher, ANYA FISHER, and our Literature and Creative Writing teacher, Mary Pjerrou Huckaby!!! Secondly, out principal at the time CATHERINE MORRIS, impressed upon us all social conscience and virtue, and still shows up as my Fairy God Mother and Moral Compass in my marvelous Jungian dreams!!! Finally, it was an enormously aesthetic pleasure, as well as an intellectually stimulating one, to be taught in this beautiful old mansion and lovely gardens, by an often brilliant faculty, with diverse and delightful classmates, most of whom grew up to contribute significantly to the betterment of our society and the common good!
