What is MPA Fall Campaign and Give to the Max Day?
It’s a moment for the entire Mounds Park Academy community – alumni, families, students, faculty, staff, and friends – to celebrate MPA’s mission and its students. We hope you’ll join in on the Fall Campaign, November 11th – November 18th and specifically Give to the Max Day on November 16, 2023.
How much are you expecting me to give? Is each family supposed to give a certain amount?
Giving at MPA is as diverse as our community—there’s no one “right way” to make a gift. We understand that giving is highly personal, and we invite families to contribute at whatever level is appropriate for them. Every gift is valued, and your participation at any level is appreciated.
We strive to earn the support of 100 percent of current families every year, and to rally far-reaching support from our alumni and past-parent communities. Each gift brings us closer to our goal, and the more we raise the greater the impact we will have on the myriad of opportunities MPA provides for our students.
I can’t make a large gift. Does my participation actually make a difference?
Yes! Many small gifts add up. And a strong level of participation shows the world – from prospective parents to school-ranking websites and even to lending and grant-making institutions – that our community believes in the mission of the school and has a shared commitment to educational excellence.
What do the different designations mean?
Academic Innovation
Academic Innovation: Your gift to Academic Innovation at MPA will provide enhanced professional development and micro-funding for teachers on topics including diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and neurodiversity. Academic Innovation means high-impact student learning experiences such as field trips, artists in residence and visiting authors, and enhanced student programming such as our award-winning Robotics Club. Your support will continue the MPA tradition of rigor with purpose and joyful learning through teacher-driven innovations.
Access
Access: Your gift to support Access at MPA will directly support families in the form of scholarships and Indexed Tuition, ensuring every child can benefit from all we have to offer. We are proud of our diverse community, including the socioeconomic diversity of students and families. At MPA, we want to ensure the exceptional experience at MPA is open and accessible to any family, regardless of their financial status.
Arts
Arts: Your gift to the Arts at MPA means every student can continue to foster and nurture their skill, talent, and appreciation of all artistic endeavors. At MPA, we embrace, support, and nurture all children through our robust visual and performing arts at every division. Our incredible Arts faculty and programs, including theater, music, and visual arts, ensure every student can maximize their artistic potential, build confidence, and create beauty.
Athletics
Athletics: Your gift to Athletics at MPA helps to ensure our no-cut athletics team sports and facilities are competitive and enrich our student athletes’ lives. Help us to ensure our athletic facilities and programs continue to create the environment for lifelong memories, inclusion, and sportsmanship for every Panther. Donations will support top-notch coaches and the latest equipment and supplies so that every MPA athlete has the experience they deserve.
Why is it important to give in the fall? Why not wait until spring?
Financial gifts to MPA play a large part in balancing our overall budget and help us plan wisely for future expenditures, including new technology, teacher salaries and benefits, our facilities and other capital investments. By closing the gap between tuition income and our operating costs as early as possible, we can thoughtfully plan for the coming year and develop sound budgets based on our total income, including the charitable gifts made to MPA.
What do I do if I want to send a gift now, but it won't arrive until after Give to the Max Day?
No problem! Please visit our donation page to make a pledge and designate how the funds will arrive or email us at [email protected].
Can I make a gift of stock?
Mounds Park Academy maintains an account with the Vanguard Group to receive gifts of securities. MPA will authorize the sale of a stock gift as soon as possible after the gift is received. Securities that are publicly traded are valued at the market on the date they are sold. MPA is charged a transaction fee of $2.00 for stock sales made through our Vanguard brokerage account.
When making a gift of securities, we ask that you notify Jennifer-Petitt Rogers, Director of Development and Community Engagement, at [email protected] or 651-748-5532. Please list the type of stock you are gifting and the approximate number of shares.

Can I use my employer's matching gifts funds?
Yes! If you or your spouse work for a company that matches gifts, you may be able to double your impact for MPA students. You will be recognized for the total amount contributed by you and your employer. Head to the donation page and enter the employer in our Double the Donation tool to learn if your company matches gifts.
How can I help promote MPA and Give to the Max Day?
By being an Ambassador! You can help create excitement about giving before and during the big day. Post on social media, start a challenge on our website or shout it from the rooftops!
