The Patrick Moore '25 Scholarship

The Patrick Moore ’25 Scholarship was established by family, friends and classmates to honor the legacy of Patrick, a member of the Class of 2025, who died tragically prior to his senior year at Proctor Academy. Patrick loved Proctor and was equally loved by the Proctor community.

A native of northern California, Patrick embodied the ideals that define the Proctor Academy. He leaned into just about everything Proctor has to offer with energy, enthusiasm and positivity. He was confident and conversant in the classroom, leading class discussions with his lively questions and diligent approach. He distinguished himself in athletics in football, basketball, and baseball. He was a dorm leader, actor on stage, tour guide for the school, and inspired wood worker. His love for all things Proctor was infectious, and Patrick elevated the experience of his peers and the Proctor faculty.

Patrick was a leader and brought out the best in others. He was a catalyst for positive change and led by example in all that he did. He worried little for what others thought, instead demonstrating the power of action and positivity in impacting those around him.

The Patrick Moore ‘25 Scholarship seeks to support students who, like Patrick, elevate the Proctor community through their leadership, commitment, passion, and belief in others. The scholarship will be awarded to a deserving student who is unable to afford a Proctor education without financial assistance and who actively contributes to campus life in multiple areas—whether it be academics, athletics, or the arts—and demonstrates a genuine commitment to fostering a more inclusive and vibrant Proctor community. Through this scholarship, we remember and celebrate Patrick’s enduring legacy, ensuring that his spirit of adventure, creativity, and leadership continues to inspire future generations of Proctor students.

The intention of this campaign is to reach a goal of $2,000,000 to fund this scholarship in perpetuity.
