What is the prize for the winning class?
The winning class will be hosted on July 17 at Regis for a summer barbecue in the Quad.
How are round winners determined?
Leaderboards are updated in real time. In each match up, the class with the higher participation rate will advance to the next round. After each round, participation scores reset to zero. Round winners will be revealed by email on first day of the subsequent round.
How do I join the Order of the Owl?
For alumni from the Class of 2011 and above, annual giving must reach or exceed $3,000 to join the Order of the Owl.
Alumni from the Class of 2012 and below are eligible to join the Junior Order of the Owl, whose membership requirements change with age:
- 2021-2024: $250
- 2020: $500
- 2019: $750
- 2018: $1,000
- 2017: $1,250
- 2016: $1,500
- 2015: $1,750
- 2014: $2,000
- 2013: $2,250
- 2012: $2,500
Alumni who pledge to join Order of the Owl for the 2025 Annual Fund will count as participating in every round that their class advances to.
What is the schedule for each round?
Each round of competition will begin at 12:00 a.m. on the first day of the round and end at 11:59 p.m. on the last day of the round.
Spirited Sixteen: March 19 – April 1
Enduring Eight: April 2 – April 8
Foundress Four: April 9 – April 15
Championship: April 16 – April 22
How does a class advance to the next round?
In each matchup, the class with the higher participation rate will advance.
Are there other prizes besides a barbecue?
Yes! The class that raises the highest total amount of money in each round will win either a JUG Night drink ticket (for classes out of college) or a $5 discount at the Regis store (for classes still in college). Classes may win a maximum of two drink tickets per participant over the course of the tournament.
Can I donate on behalf of my classmate?
While we appreciate every attempt to make this a successful Young Alumni Challenge, we cannot count donations made on behalf of another alum towards your class’s participation rate.
What happens if two classes tie?
In the event of a tie between two classes, the winner will be determined in an additional tie-breaking round. On a designated day, each member of the tied classes will be encouraged to make an additional gift of $1. The class with the most donors within that 24-hour window will be declared the winner.
