Why do we have a Walkathon?
A:
- Every dollar raised through the Walkathon supports the Roncalli Circle of Faith Annual Fund.
- This is THE ONLY all-school fundraiser in which Roncalli students are asked to participate.
- Walkathon raises over $85,000 each school year.

When is Walkathon?
A:
- Friday, November 8, 2024, during the school day
- No college visits are allowed on this date
Q:
How does Walkathon work?
A:
- Students need to secure $75 in donations prior to the Walkathon date. ($130 for a household: 2 or more students living in the same household/address)
- Students will receive a yellow envelope for cash/check donations, as well as a unique link for online donations.
- Once students turn in their monetary goal, they will receive a wristband and can be out of uniform from that day through the week until Thursday, November 7. They can wear their Walkathon t-shirt on Friday, November 8. ** Lost wristbands are $5.**
- All students will participate in the walk, only students who turn in $75 (or the $130 household rate) will receive a Walkathon t-shirt.

What are the different ways for people to donate to my student?
A:
- Students will receive a bright yellow envelope for cash/check donations (Wednesday, October 2).
- Students will also receive an email with their unique link for online donations (Wednesday, October 2).
- Students should fill in their yellow envelopes with the cash and check totals, as well as, amounts pledged online and turn it in to get their t-shirts/wristbands.

What is the schedule for Walkathon day?
A:
- School will begin at the regular time.
- All eight periods will meet for approximately 20-minute intervals.
- Walkathon will begin at approximately 11:15 AM at the Roncalli Stadium.
- Dismissal will be at 12:30 PM after all students have returned from the walk.
- No lunch will be served.

When and where does Walkathon money need to be turned in?
A:
- Students will turn in their money online or in the yellow envelope in the school lobby during lunch on Friday, November 1.
- Collections will continue before school on Monday, November 4 and during lunch periods Monday, November 4 - Thursday, November 7.
- Any money turned in after lunch on November 7 must be turned in at the Advancement Office.
Q:
What does my student wear for the Walkathon?
A:
- Students who meet their fundraising goal will receive a t-shirt to wear the day of the Walkathon ($75/$130 Household Rate). Students may wear sweatpants or pants/jeans with no holes (NO SHORTS AND NO LEGGINGS).
- If a student does not meet the fundraising requirement, he or she will walk in the school uniform.
Q:
What if my student collects more than $75?
A:
- All students who individually turn in $100 or more will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win some great prizes!
- Prize winners will be drawn on November 8.
Q:
Walkathon is on Friday, November 8, with a rain date scheduled for Wednesday, November 27.
A:
In order to participate in all the out-of-uniform days, a student must not lose their wristband and t-shirt!
