Q:

How will my Laps 4 Learning donation be used?

A:

Your donation will be used to fund facility updates at VCES so that we can continue to provide a safe and engaging learning environment for our students!

Help us race toward the future!

Running Toward the Future! Valley Charter Elementary School Laps 4 Learning 2025.

Funds raised this year will go towards campus beautification and updates, including:

  • Bungalow patio rebuild (located outside rooms 5,6,7 and 8): We estimate that this will cost $20,000
  • New drip system and other much-needed updates and maintenance in the school garden
  • Updated AC units
  • New paint and locks in classrooms
  • New laptops
  • Sound absorption for the Kindergarten and 1st grade classrooms
  • Other classroom and campus updates as needed

Previous L4L campaigns have funded our 1st-5th grade playground renovation, 8 foot security fences and fence wraps around the perimeter of the campus, new AC units, new backpack rails and hooks, and partially funded the renovated bench by the backstop (the class of 2024 also funded this bench, and we are so appreciative of their generosity!).

Donate today! Help us ensure that VCES continues to be a beautiful, safe space for our students to learn and grow.

Q:

What are the school fundraising goals this spring?

A:

Our school goals are to raise $75,000 and 100% student participation in fundraising during the Laps 4 Learning fundraising campaign.

Q:

What is the student fundraising goal?

A:

The student fundraising goal is $250.

If every student raises $250 or more, we will exceed our fundraising goal this spring!

Q:

How can my student raise money this spring for Laps 4 Learning?

A:

Your student has a unique fundraising URL and a donation envelope that they took home on April 30th. They can collect online donations, or cash/check donations in their envelope.

Encourage them to ask friends, family and neighbors to make smaller donations ($10, $15, $20) to help them reach the $250 goal. If donors are making an online donation, after they click “Give Now”, ask them to search for your student by name to make sure that their donation is matched with your student.

Here are some fundraising tips from Lyla:

If your family, friends and neighbors would like to donate cash/check, your student can collect this donation in their donation envelope. Click here for more information.

Make a video explaining why you’re asking for Laps 4 Learning donations! Share the video with the fundraising link with friends, family and neighbors. Here’s Selah’s video from Laps 4 Learning 2023:

Q:

How do I make an online donation to my student?

A:

Click the “Give Now” button, type your student’s name, and select their name from the drop-down menu.

Q:

Do I have to donate with a credit card?

A:

No! Students can use their donation collection envelope for cash and check donations. Click here for more information.

Q:

How can friends, family and neighbors donate online to my student?

Share your student’s fundraising link! Search for their name after clicking the “Give Now” button at the top of the page. Copy and paste your student’s unique fundraising link into an email and send it to donors, or share it on your social media profiles. All students were sent home with a QR code for their fundraising link with their donation envelope on April 30th. Need a new QR code to share? Visit the school office!
