HAWKs (Hiking Adventures with Kids) is an ecology camp for elementary school students. We aim to create community, forge connection with nature, and encourage stewardship with our explorers. HAWKs is all about finding joy in nature, so we play nature-based games, do crafts and journaling, and learn how to identify native plants and animals. Our curriculum is place-based and evolves with our environment, covering topics like fire ecology, indigenous history, species relationships, birding, herping, and foraging. Join us on Los Angeles’ local trails and greenspaces for summer, holiday, after school, and weekend camps!

Sponsor Spotlight: Yoga with Hillary

Hillary Oberstein, 500RYT, has been teaching yoga to adults and kids of all ages for over 10 years. She has been teaching weekly classes at VCES since 2022 and at Adat Ari El Infant Center and Preschool since 2015. Between these two schools, she excitedly teaches over 350 kids aged 18 months to 11 years old on a weekly basis. She also teaches weekly adult Vinyasa and Yin classes in the Wellness Studio at Adat Ari El, private yoga sessions in her home studio, assists weekly in her mentor’s class at Center For Yoga and taught for four years at Core Power Yoga.
