What is the attire for Family Weekend?
Please dress comfortably! Casual attire with layers is best, as the weather changes quickly in New England. You will spend some time in an outdoor tent that will be heated if the weather gets cold. Feel free to dress casually for the Parent Reception, although some parents choose to dress up if they are heading out to dinner afterward.
How do I sign up for conferences?
Please log into PTC Wizard to schedule a conference with your student’s advisor. Your student’s advisor will have information from each teacher, dorm parent, and coach for a comprehensive 15- minute conference. It is not necessary to make an appointment with every one of your student’s teachers. Students are encouraged to attend conferences, but it is up to each family to decide if they would like their student to attend. Please note that PTC Wizard will close on October 18, so be sure to log in before then.
How do I access my child's class schedule so I can plan conferences around classroom visits?
You can use the calendar function on Blackbaud to view your student’s class schedule for Family Weekend, as you are invited to attend each class with them.
Can I download my conference schedule and add it to my calendar?
Yes!
There are 3 possible actions you can choose on the agenda page of PTC Wizard: Pint, Email, and Export.
This button will open a new tab with your entire schedule in a printable format. You might need to press CTRL+P to actually send the report to your printer.
This button will submit a request to have your entire schedule sent to your email.
All emails will contain invitation attachments so that your calendar might automatically recognize the meetings.
Export
This button will generate a calendar file called an ICS file. This file will have all of your appointments and can be imported by any calendar program.
Can I take my child out to dinner on Friday?
Yes, students will have quiet hours in the dorm on Friday evening. They may sign out with their parent or guardian and return to the dormitory before 9 p.m.
Are dogs welcome on campus?
Yes, leashed dogs are welcome on campus, but please note that only service animals are allowed inside school buildings.
Will I be able to order a class ring for my student during Family Weekend?
