What is a class coordinator? How can I find the one for my class?
The primary roles of the class coordinator are to plan a class gathering and to get in touch with their classmates to encourage attendance. It is a volunteer job, and anyone can reach out to the Alumni Office to sign up to help! If your class doesn’t have a class coordinator, it might be the perfect job for you. The current class coordinator list can be found here.
Class Coordinators will have access to class lists to help rally as many members of your class as possible!
When and where are class gatherings?
A gathering for all alumni will take place on Friday night on campus. This will be dinner and a dance. All individual class year gatherings should be scheduled off campus on Saturday night, after the happy hour and fireworks. The one exception is the 50th reunion class, who will have their class dinner on campus immediately following the cocktail hour and fireworks.
Your class coordinator is responsible for planning your class gathering. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please reach out to your class coordinator.
What is a class gift? Should we be fundraising as part of our reunion?
Giving is an important part of planning a reunion! Although class gifts are usually only given for major reunion milestones (10th, 25th, 50th), there are many opportunities, both big and small, to invest in a place that you once called home. We encourage everyone who attends the reunion to give a gift to Gould! You can donate to Gould as part of your Alumni Weekend registration.
If you are looking for ideas for how to fundraise, reach out to someone on the Alumni Relations Team!
What does an ‘all inclusive ticket’ include?
Just like it says… this ticket is for ALL meals and events happening on campus. Please check the schedule for specifics. This does not include the off campus class gatherings or any lodging or events happening off campus.
What if I can’t attend the whole weekend?
Although we hope that everyone can be here from Friday afternoon until Sunday afternoon, we would love to have you join us for any part of the weekend. You can purchase all inclusive weekend tickets (including all events and meals) or ticket for a single day of the weekend!
Can I bring my family?
Yes! We love having all generations of “Gouldies” on campus to celebrate the weekend. There are adult and child tickets available to buy. Please plan to buy a ticket for anyone aged 5+ who is planning to attend. Children under 5 are free and don’t need a ticket. You can mix and match single day tickets and weekend long tickets, depending on your family’s schedule!
What’s on the schedule? How do I know who else is going to attend?
The schedule for the weekend is available on the registration website, and will be updated as more information becomes available. The attendee list will also be updated in real time as people register. Check back often.
I am a recent graduate of Gould. Should I plan to attend?
Yes! We have a low cost ticket designed specifically for those who graduated Gould in the past 5 years. Please select Young Alumni from the registration options.
Where do I stay? Can I stay in the dorms?
Because school is in session during Alumni Weekend, we are unable to offer housing on campus. However, there are many local hotels, inns, and AirBnBs in the Bethel area that are available for you to stay in! Reach out to the Alumni Relations Office if you have questions or need some advice.
What are my options for payment when registering online?
When you check out, you can use a credit card, electronic payment ( Google Pay, Apple Pay, Venmo or Paypal) or indicate that you wish to pay by check. When you choose the check payment option, you will receive an invoice with a mailing address for where to send your payment. You will need to send payment within 15 days to keep your registration valid.
Will I be able to smoke or vape on campus?
No, Gould Academy is a smoke free/ vape free campus. Anyone wishing to smoke or vape will need to leave campus grounds to do so. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
