One Day. Your Govs.
1,763 minutes to make your gift to The Governor’s Fund.
When does Govs Giving Day begin?
You have 1,763 minutes to give to Govs during our annual Giving Day. It will officially take place between 8 am EST on Wednesday, February 19 until 12:00 pm EST on Thursday, February 20, 2025. All gifts received between Feb 1 - 19 will be counted toward our donor challenges!
Who can participate?
Everyone! All alumni, parents, grandparents, faculty and staff or friends of Govs can help make this day special—many hands make light work!
How can I help make Govs Giving Day a big success?

I want to challenge my class, how do I create one?
Donor challenges and matching gifts are a wonderful way to help us reach our goals. They don’t have to be grand or overly ambitious to be effective, either.
Here are some examples you could consider:
- Challenge your classmates! Choose the amount of your gift and let your classmates know that when a certain number of classmates give it will unlock your gift! For example: When 10 classmates make a gift, I will donate $100.
- Offer a matching gift! Planing to donate $1,000 (or even $50)? You can leverage your enthusiasm to inspire others by offering to donate $1 for every donor up to a certain number of supporters. For example: I will donate $500 if 100 donors make a gift in the next 24 hours.
- Encourage Top Spot on Leaderboard! Target alumni in a specific class or parents in your child’s class to participate. For example: I will give $100 if 10 more donors from the Class of 2005 give.
Visit the “Challenges” tab to walk through the different ways you can inspire others to follow your lead. Questions? Contact Rachael Singmaster, Director of Annual Giving, at 978.499.3215 or [email protected].
Where does the money go?
All gifts collected on Govs Giving Day support The Governor’s Fund, the Academy’s top fundraising priority each and every year.
Your gift will reach all corners of our campus and support nearly every aspect of daily life at Govs including, but not limited to, faculty support, financial aid, academic programs, the arts, athletics, and student initiatives and Residential Life programs.
We have listed a few of these areas of impact for you to designate your gift to, if you so choose. Otherwise, the area of greatest need will help the Academy continue to say yes to budget requests.
I prefer to send a check, or make a gift another way. What should I do?
