With only 150 donors needed to meet the challenge, Coley Gorham Hon ‘20 has upped the ante with an additional $50,000. This means the stakes are even higher. For 24-hours, help ensure that Saint Joseph’s College continues to grow the community leaders that the world needs now. All our daily lives have been changed by COVID-19, but our students have been uniquely impacted. From changes to their learning environment, restrictions on internships, and lack of summer employment – our Monks have adapted to it all. As the College navigates these changes, we continue to be focused on providing coursework that not only educates but also incorporates unique experiences so that when a student graduates they are well prepared for their path ahead. Through creative approaches we are growing this strong community of learners, but the students need your support as they continue to meet new challenges head on.
This year our goal is 500 donors.

Less than 12 hours since Giving Day kicked off, Monks have already demonstrated their commitment to ensuring that Saint Joseph’s College continues to grow the community leaders that the world needs now. The impact of this day goes beyond these 24 hours and our students need your help! We wanted to share a special message with you from President Jim Dlugos about why today is such an important day for us all.
Yesterday Coleman “Coley” Gorham Hon ‘20 issued us a challenge; if 500 donors make a gift, he will give $50,000 to support student success. Can the students count on you? One gift, no matter the size, can make a big impact. Other wonderful donors have also issued challenges of their own - with one gift you can double or triple the impact that you have on the future of this special place.

With less than 24 hours till Giving Day kicks off, the College has been issued an extraordinary challenge by Coleman “Coley” Gorham - when we reach 500 Giving Day donors, he will donate $50,000 to Saint Joseph’s! At 102 years old, Coley Gorham, 2020 Honorary Degree recipient of Doctor of Public Service, and his late wife Anna Lee Gorham ‘47 are perhaps some of the College’s oldest and most ardent supporters. Coley has long championed the space that Saint Joseph’s provides for students to grow into the community leaders we need today. Today he shares a special message with the Saint Joseph’s College community and the importance of giving. In his own words “St. Joseph’s College is a beautiful blooming rose and we need you to pledge to water it regularly and to see that it gets adequate sunshine. We need you.”
Like Coley, we believe in the power of the Saint Joseph community to come together for our students. Gifts of any size, made to any fund, will be counted in this challenge. Tomorrow we are calling on our community to grow lifelong learners at Saint Joseph’s College!
