What is Giving Day and why is Saint Joseph’s College having one?
Giving Day is a 24-hour challenge to raise funds for the students of Saint Joseph’s College. It provides a chance for the SJC community to come together to support students. This is also an important day because it helps to educate and increase awareness about the impact of philanthropy and the difference you can make through a single gift.
When is Giving Day?
This year Giving Day will be taking place on June 11th!
Traditionally Giving Day takes place annually on March 19 because it is the Feast of Saint Joseph, the patron saint of the College. This year we postponed our Giving Day festivities to better focus on the needs of our students, faculty and staff who were heavily impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.
How does it impact students?
Community engagement is critical to helping Saint Joseph’s grow and support the unique experiences of every SJC student both on-campus and online. Regardless of where the gift is given, your gift, no matter how big or small, makes a transformative impact on current and future Saint Joseph’s College students.
Where should I give?
Give to whichever fund you choose! If you aren’t sure of a specific area to give, the Annual Fund provides for the highest priorities on campus.
What's a Challenge?
Challenges focus on participation and are fun ways to increase the impact of your gift - regardless of the size of your gift!

On June 11 – Make your gift! There are a number of ways to support SJC students on June 11; make your gift online here, call the College at 207-893-7890 to donate over the phone, or mail a check (in advance of June 11) and note Giving Day in the memo line.
After you make your gift remember to tell your friends, family and countrymen about Giving Day and encourage them to make a gift!
